I know I’m a little late to this…it’s February but it’s better late than never. This year I had a hard time setting realistic goals for myself after seeing how unplanned things went these last couple of years with the pandemic. I did, however, decide to not let that stop me or upset me and to still set some goals that are in my personal control. What I am looking to do is set goals for myself that are only controlled by me. No external factors. So with that said, here are my realistic goals for 2022:
Workout
With working from home I noticed I’ve been very idle and that’s not a good thing. My husband and I were talking about this the other day but when when we commuted to work we knew we’d be walking 30 minutes to the office and 30 minutes back to the bus station. With that hour back to myself I really need to utilize it for working out in our apartment gym.
Drink more water
Last year, I downsized my Hydro Flask from the 32 oz to the 21 oz. my thought process was that it would be easier to carry to the office. Seeing that it’s been two years and we aren’t back in the office my idea was a bit flawed, but that doesn’t mean I can’t up the about of bottles I drink. So the goal is to drink 2-3 bottles a day which leads me to the next goal.
Skincare
Drinking water really helps clear your skin, and these pas few months I’ve been having a really bad case of acne. This made me realize that I have to take care of my skin. I’m going the whole 9-yards with cleansers, exfoliating, and serums.
I hope to take time to read more. Ideally, I’d love to read 22 books this year. I know that’s a low number but it’s a start since I haven’t been that good about reading these past few years. I’d also like to read my devotional in the mornings to just help ground me. I’d love for my morning routine to include reading my devotional and writing in my gratitude journal.
Write More
That leads me to my last goal which is to write more. I really enjoy writing on here and writing semi-longer Instagram captions. I put out random thoughts and notions I get from my day to day so make sure to check that out.
Overall, this shouldn’t be too difficult to achieve since they are in my control and no external factors. I do have other goals that I would like achieve as well, but those include external factors so I am not going to bank on them happening and set myself up for disappointment. I do have them in a separate list that I am keeping for my own reference. Comment below some of your realistic goals for 2022. I’d love to know!
