April is my favorite month! We have the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring, we have flowers blooming showing sign of life and we have a lot of birthdays to celebrate. With the seasons changing we will probably spend more time outdoors so I really hope to get through these books, while enjoying the outdoors. Nonetheless, here is my April Reading List:
Rising Strong by Brene Brown
Genre: Self-Help
Another book that focuses on taking imperfect situations and being okay with it. In my January reading list I focused on self-help and this topic of taking life for how it is and letting go of situations that don’t work in your favor.
Thursday is the New Friday by Joe Sanok
Genre: Self-Help
Another self-help book but this is revolving on the recent trending theme of having a four day work week. Spain, Japan, Iceland, The United Arab Emirates, and Belgium have all hopped on the four day work week. New York City is even dancing on the idea so this is a great book to read as we explore this idea in a post-pandemic world.
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
Genre: psychological thriller
This is out of my usual genres but I saw this all over the booktok world and decided to jump on the band wagon. It’s love, murder, mystery, revenge, etc.
Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Genre: general fiction
Not as “trending” as the authors book “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” but I enjoy a good story about unrequited love and the ambiguity of post grad life.
I hope you enjoyed this April Reading list – we are on a self-help kick so hopefully there are some good reads and lessons to be learned through these reads. Make sure to comment below what you plan to read this month. I would love to know!
I’ve read most of Brene Browns books. Adding rising strong to my list. Thx
