As you all may know I have very simple taste in clothes. I don’t have an elaborate wardrobe and I don’t quite have an extension taste in trendy pieces. I would rather invest in clothes that are timeless classics that I feel good in so that is why I describe myself as someone with a minimalist modest style. Anyway, with all that said there are five essential jackets for this fall season that I recommend you folks have in your closet regardless of your personal style or
Army Green Jacket
One of my favorite jackets is the army green jacket since there are so many ways you can style and pair these. They are both practical and versatile. Surprisingly this particular jacket was “borrowed” from my husband’s closet. He actually doesn’t like this style jacket (not sure why it was in his closet), but when I saw it I snatched it right up. We even customized it with a patch that has my name on it and the Armenian flag. But because this is such a masculine piece I love styling it with feminine pieces mostly.
Leather Jacket
Next on the list is the classic black leather jacket. It took me a bit of time to find the perfect one that doesn’t make me look too masculine due to an excess of zippers. This one from American Eagle was the perfect one and I can’t help but feel like a bad *** when I wear it.
Teddy Jacket
I used to think Teddy Jackets weren’t an essential for a fall wardrobe until I bought one myself and now I through it on with just about everything. It’s my grab and go jacket that I don’t need to think about, but when I do “style it” I tend to go towards an all black look with gold accessories.
Denim Jacket
Oh the denim jacket. I don’t know if this is “out of style” per say but I enjoy them so I am adding it to the list. There are so many fits and styles for the denim jacket but I particularly like the one on the left that is lined. This particular piece was actually from my mom’s closet back in the 70s and when I saw it I knew I had to have it. It is the perfect oversized fit and it keeps me quite warmed compared to the denim jacket on the right.
Sweater Blazer
I feel quite stiff when I wear a blazer but this sweater blazer is the perfect balance of professional yet casual. This is quite the investment piece so keep that in mind, but I believe it is well worth it, especially in this Zoom world.
BONUS JACKETS
Now, there are some “in” jackets right now like the quilted jackets and the shackets, however, I haven’t found affordable ones quite yet especially for the shackets. Why are they so expensive? Anyway, as for the quilted jacket I am eyeing a pair from Walmart which is $20 so let’s see if I tip and get it. If you want to get into the nitty gritty of it there are also fleece jackets, plaid coats, wool coats, etc. but these are strictly for the mid-temperature Autumnal season.
Now, if we expand this list we could probably get a lot more thrown onto this list from peak coats to trench coats and wool coats. There are so many options that you can sport during the fall season that is all dependent on your personal style. And like I mentioned in the post there are so many cuts to these staple jackets that you can most definitely cater it to your style and taste.
Love the army green jacket AND it’s been too long since I’ve had a denim. You’ve inspired me to renew my winter wardrobe
I love all these jackets! My leather jacket and denim jacket stay in rotation
Nice fashion picks! Would love to try them all!
I love all of these, my army jacket get the most wear usually but a good denim and leather always are great choices too!
This should be a very warm autumn 🙂 Nice collection, but I would always choose ethical and fair trade as much as possible. Who made my clothes is a very interesting question to ask 🙂
