One of my favorite things to do is put together multiple outfits using one staple item so here we are with none other than a favorite of mine, Vegan leather leggings. These leggings just might be the number one most worn item in my closet during the Fall season because there are so many ways to style them – from casual to dressy, and everything in between. They are comfortable to wear all day long because they are leggings, and in addition they are fleece lined! When I was thinking about getting a pair I had the criteria that the pair I get have to be fleece lined in order to be able to wear it in the Fall/Winter. Fashion is not worth the frostbite in my opinion haha. So, if you are thinking about getting yourself a pair or need some styling ideas, here are a few ways to style faux leather leggings:
White Blouse
A white blouse is a classic way to pair leather leggings because of how great the textures look together. The chiffon type material with the shiny leather is just a perfect combination. If you want to dress this down just pair it with sneakers like how I did below and if you want to dress it up swap the sneakers for some heels or loafers and a sweater blazer to elevate it. Obviously when the weather is colder you can throw on a proper jacket for the cold so in this case I would pair it with a beige coat.
White T-Shirt
Different than the white blouse you can dress this way down with a white T-shirt and tie a flannel around your waist. Now I don’t know how you feel about leather on leather but when it gets cold you can pair it with a leather jacket or just a simple quilted jacket. Also, we can’t forget my personal “uniform” a t-shirt and cardigan.
Black Sweater
A long black sweater might be my go-to way to wear this outfit and when it gets colder I just throw on an army green jacket to break up the black on black look.
Striped Sweater
A striped sweater is a cute option as well and in this case under it I peeped out a chambray collar. That gives me three layers of warmth (tank top included) and a chic/classic look.
Chambray with Sweater Blazer
That chambray top and the sweater blazer is back but now paired together. I paired this with a brown bootie to tie the look together.
Plaid Jacket
A plaid jacket is a nice way to wear leather leggings. In this case I had maroon in the the plaid jacket so I pair the outfit with a maroon sweater.
Cream Sweater with Brown Booties
Not sure if the camera is picking it up but there is something about the color combination of cream and brown.
Black Vans Sneakers
Bring out the old school black vans sneakers because this is a classic way to wear leather leggings. They just look so classic together. Keep it simple with a white top and an army green jacket.
Knee High Boots
Whether it’s knee high riding boots like in the picture or its suede knee high boots. Both look great with leather leggings. Throw on a simple cream sweater and you have yourself a stylish outfit and comfortable outfit.
White Top with Beige Cardigan
It’s all about the textures so bring back that chiffon blouse but now pair it with a long cardigan. This creates an elevated effortless look.
You don’t necessarily need to go out and purchase new items. A lot these outfits can be recreated with items in your closet. There are a lot of ways to style faux leather leggings so take a look in your closet and see what pairs well. Also, a lot of these outfits need a jacket so check out my post on best fall jackets.
For me, leggings with longer tops and I really like them with boots!
Just love all of these different ways
