I’m no chef but Lebanese salad is something that we can all make easily. It is both nourishing and delicious!
The Lebanese salad AKA Salata is a deliciously rich side salad made by mixing lettuce, tomatoes cucumbers, and a lemon oil drizzle. Different from the Lebanese fattoush and tabbouleh.
What You’ll Need
Lettuce – romaine or iceberg
Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Optional – Radish, Green peppers, croutons, feta cheese, mint, parsley
An easily customizable salad with a lettuce base, chopped cucumbers and tomato bits. You can add your favorite protein whether that is meat, chicken, fish or beans.
The key to the Salata is the mouth puckering dressing. The main ingredients are lemon, olive oil, and crushed garlic. For a little kick, add your favorite Lebanese spice like sumac, za’atar (thyme), mint, parsley, etc.
How to Prepare
Wash and chop all your vegetables. In a large bowl, mix the lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes.
In a separate jar, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic. Cover the jar and shake thoroughly to combine the dressing.
Pour the dressing over the tossed salad to combine.

Yummy, hmmm, but I don’t if I can have a taste of that except if I visit Lebanon. Hmmmm
That is super simple recipe. Would love to try
Wow, this looks amazing! My husband would definitely love it. Going to have to go get a cucumber to try it. I have the rest of the ingredients 🙂
Ahh perfect. Let me know how it goes!!
This looks so refreshing! I love the idea of using lemon instead of vinegar in the dressing.
Yes healthier alternative and delicious!
This looks really good and I think when we have our friends over they would love this. Thank you for sharing.
Let me know how it goes!
I always risk preparing salads in a monotonous way and instead I will be able to do something different and original. Thanks!
Let me know how it goes! 🙂
