We are already at the 5th of July and I have yet to gather my list of books I want to read this month. I’ve already previously mentioned this year has been quite slow, but it seems I am more of a “Cozy up with a good book” in the Fall/Winter type of person. This month we are also busy preparing for our travels to Amsterdam and Lebanon so I don’t think my July Reading List is going to be that extensive. With that said, I will have only a couple of books listed in my July Reading List.
The New Feminist Agenda by Madeleine M. Kunin
When I saw this book at our local little library I thought it would be an interesting read, especially with the state of things in the U.S.
Alone with God by John MacArthur
At one point I would take time in my day to connect with God by reading some scripture and writing my thoughts on it. When things got hectic I sadly stopped doing this, but when I saw this book in our little neighborhood library I took it as a sign.
The Science of Sin by Simon M. Laham, PhD.
Pride, lust, gluttony, greed, envy, sloth, and anger.
This is about the psychology of the seven deadly sins, but with a twist. I thought it was interesting how the author takes these sins and turns it into something good for you. Let’s see the theory behind this.
The above books are quite out of my normal self-help, political, and romance genres, but interesting nonetheless. I am not that optimistic that I will get through these books this month, but one can hope.
In the meantime, stay tuned for some future Travel blogs. As mentioned above, we are preparing for a trip to Amsterdam and Lebanon and hopefully with the Fall season around the corner we are hoping to do some mini trips.
