This months book list is a mix as usual. We have a harsh realities, life lessons, and everything in between. I think if you read just one of the books on this list it should be “In Five Years” especially if you are anything like me – a perfectionist who expects everything to be and happen in a certain way. Life is such a mystery and you just never know what will happen and how things will pan out. Anyway, here is my December Reading List:
Nobody Knows What They’re Doing By Lee Crutchley
I haven’t read the whole book yet since it’s one that you can read page by page, but so far the pages that I have read are not just for artists a lot of the lessons are transpired in everyday life as well. I specifically enjoy how blunt it is because a lot of social media recently show the process of being a creator as “pain-less” and that just really isn’t the truth of the matter.
In Five Years By Rebecca Serle
I listened to the audiobook of this book and absolutely fell in love. This specific book opened me up to novels in general because it had such a realistic plot line that I lived through the characters emotions and felt everything in my soul.
Missionaries By Phil Klay
I have not seen a lot of book people recommend this book, but this is a highly acclaimed book. It’s actually former President Barack Obama’s favorite book!
Small-time by Russel Shorto
I enjoy watching movie and TV series about mobsters and so when I saw this book at our little neighborhood book nook I knew I had to pick it up.
The Sweetest Remedy By Jane Igharo
I am a sucker for a cultural soul-searching journey and so when I read the synopsis of this book I knew I needed to give it a read.
I have a couple of books on my reading list that are holiday themed; so if by any chance I breeze through the above December reading list I will turn to the following. First on the “holiday themed list” is “One Day in December” a cute little Christmas themed romance book. Next on the list is “Someday, Someday, Maybe” this book is by Lauren Graham, the beloved Gilmore Girls star. Last on the list “We Met in December“. There is something about reading a love story during the holiday season. I am just a sucker for it.
If you haven’t already make sure to check out previous months reading list. And comment below what you plan to read for the last month of 2021!
Some of them caught my attention. I might try to buy them online. Thanks:)
