Boston is not as big as you think, but there is soo much to do. You wonder how will you fit it all in, in just two days! Here are the things you can’t miss the when you have just two days in Boston.
The Freedom Trail
Number one on the list is the Freedom Trail. A 2.5 mile trail that can about 90 minutes to complete and an entire day if you want to visit each and every stop on the trail. Most of the stops on this trail are free to visit, expect three stops: The Paul Revere House, the Old South Meeting House, and the Old State House.
*Tip* Walk this trail early on your trip allows you to get a good grasp of the city layout.
Duck Tour
This might be one of the most cliche things you will ever do, but it is extremely worth it! My cousins who are Boston locals recommended that I take a hop on this Duck tour and at first I was skeptical but it was one of my highlights of my trip!
Boston Public Garden + Boston Commons
Take a beautiful walk in these two historic areas. You may think they are one in the same but they each have their own history so make sure to take it in fully!
Market Place District
Some know it as the Faneuil Hall Marketplace or the Quincy Market. This is a great year round indoor spot to visit for some fresh and local food.
Museum of Fine Arts
This is the 17th largest museum in the world and must-see when you visit Boston.
Fenway Park
Even if you aren’t a spots fan, like me, or aren’t seeing a game at Fenway park this is still an awesome experience. Take a walk around the historic area and have a beer at the Bleacher bar which gives you a perfect view of the field!
Beacon Hill
This 19th century neighborhood is the cutest neighborhood in Boston by far. Gorgeous houses line the narrow cobblestone streets. Gives you the perfect picture opportunities! Fun fact: it is named Beacon Hill because it was built one a large hill so beware when you are walking!
Boston Harbor Walk
A little over 40-mile stretch where you can follow the edge of piers, wharves, beaches, and shoreline around Boston Harbor. A gorgeous spot to watch the sunset and see the skyline.
I hope you enjoyed this two days in Boston itinerary! For other travel related guides check this out.
I have only been to Boston as a stop-over … but I’d like to return and give it the time it deserves. Love the sound of the Freedom trail and the museum looks great too.
How fantastic… Great places to visit. I wish I could be there for a change.
